We ensure all donations go directly to the children in Tanzania by tracking all expense receipts. Our workers send the receipts for all purchases.
We also personally keep in touch with the local governments - other NGOs, and the schools to ensure the children are actually attending school. The local schools send us the report cards of all kids and some of our Canadian colleagues visit all project locations once a year to check on the kids and workers.
The money raised through CanadaHelps.org is transferred to Tanzania through an existing bank account.
Once the money is there, our workers buy the school uniforms and register the children into school. Our organization relies heavily on the hard work and initiative of the local workers and partner NGOs.
